Architecture has literally shaped our world

How do you feel when you are looking at architecture? Do you envisage a space that may stir up some emotions? Do you perhaps see elegant lines which make you think of peaceful places? Do you believe that architecture has the power to change lives? There are many answers which you can give to these questions, but the underlying answer is simple. Architecture has shaped the world.

The Importance of Architecture

Before we look at the effects that architecture has had on our world, it is necessary to understand how architecture works. Architects are vitally important in the development of a city. They spend much of their time in offices developing plans, meeting with clients, and consulting with engineers and other architects. They also visit construction sites to prepare initial drawings and review the progress of projects to ensure that clients’ objectives are met. The beginnings of architecture

Architecture is a craft that has been around for millennia. It has evolved from the creation of the first bricks made from clay and the invention of the wheel. Throughout history, there have been many different types of architects. Some have been great and some not so great. Each architect has contributed something to the world of architecture.

Around 2,500 BC, people began creating different types of buildings that would be considered “architecture” as we define it today. Some sources say the first architect recorded was Hereditary Prince Shem of Sheba, who lived around 2600 BC. He built the first brick house. This was no simple house, it was a massive building that had a total of 12 rooms. Other sources say the first architect that we know of was an architect in what is now Iraq. His name was Nabatean. He built some amazing structures. His most famous structure is probably the Petra Temple. This was a large building in the Petra region. It is a massive structure that still stands today.

From Nabatean, we got our first taste of what architecture could be. The architects of architecture would continue to develop throughout the years. Throughout history, architects would create millions of pretty amazing structures around the world, such as:
• Residential
• Public
• Commercial
• Office
• Retail
• Hotels
• Special-purpose
• Industrial
• Manufacturing
• Warehouse/distribution
• Flex space
There are many types of architectural buildings, but the most popular ones are skyscrapers which are often used to show off a city’s economic power or to make a statement about the city’s wealth.
